on Legalizing Stuff

Legalizing SinI know change is hard, and I know that watching traditions die in the name of progress makes us feel our foundation is being pulled from under us. I know! I’m an English teacher for crying out loud. I’m still trying to keep kiddos from splitting infinitives.

I poured grammar and documentation rules into my students’ brains for decades only to have Grammar Girl and new MLA handbooks rain on my parade constantly.

You know what else change is? Inevitable.

I’m a little teacup…

teacup 1A precious lady from our church blessed the ladies of our fellowship with a special gift. For years, sweet Janice has collected teacups, and she decided to give them all away to her friends at church. Each of us filed by a table covered in lovely gift bags with our fragile treasures protected in dainty tissue paper with a lovely note to tell the story about the life of a teacup. Recovering Baptist: Keep Those Pedestals Close to the Ground
